Life Is But A Sojourn

As sick as a dog
I’ve been sick since last Sunday. Running nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever… Doc said it is infectious and I should keep a distance from people. Ha! Sound so scary! I think all because of the eccentric weather. I thought I was strong but I overestimated myself. Ha! Everybody around me were sick.. Even my mum was sick last week! The flu bug is all around… So everybody please take good care.
I guess I will have many things to clear at work tomorrow. Been absence for two days. I hope I didn’t delay my big project!!!! Lately busy with work… Sighs.. I like my job but not my pay. Boooo….
Continue again. Tired now.
All by myself……

I believe nobody enjoy the feeling of someone who you see everyday and so close to you leaving and far apart.
For me, now my baby is doing his reservice and I cannot see him for few days. I feel sux about it. Last night I couldn’t even sleep well. Suddenly the bed seems too big for me to sleep in.
For my dear aunt, now my cousin is packing up and flying back tomorrow to US for his studies. I know my aunt is feeling sad… and lost too? I was told that my aunt cried and can’t bear to see her son leaving again. OMG… I can understand how my aunt feel… My cousin just returned for a few months and now he has to fly back to continue his studies. Someone so dear to her is going to live far apart from her, that feeling must be terrible. I just wish my aunt will always live free and happy. Life may be harsh but I hope everything goes well for her.

I miss him so much…

My baby went for his reservice for 12 days. Today is the first day… and I miss him so much!!!
National Day a.k.a. Family Day
Yesterday I woke up at about 8.30am, then helping my MIL to prepare the offerings for the 7th month. I was told to help wash one big basket of fruits and 3 big bags of vegetables. I must admit that I am very ‘xiao jie’ (one who never do housework in her life, like a princess) because I don’t enjoy doing these. However I am thankful coz last year I woke up at 5am to go to the market with my MIL then helped her with the preparation until their relatives arrived! Ha!
What to do… I’m living with my in-laws and I can’t just sit there, do nothing and waiting to be served, right?
Then all their relatives came and soon packed the whole house. Dennis and I couldn’t even rest early coz they only left at 12am. *Yawnz* Then we quickly helped to clear up the house, bathed and went to bed.
It has been a tiring day.
It was our National Day too! I’m happy that Dennis and I were able to see the ‘heart’ in the sky and the fireworks from our room! Hee!

♥ We can see the ‘heart’ from our room.

♥ We can see the firworks from our room.

Today I’m supposed to go to the hair salon to do my hair. But I’m so lazy to go out. And it is raining outside now. Don’t know if I should do hair rebonding or not…. Should I?
My Receipe – Minestrone soup
I always like to do cooking and this is my first attempt to cook minestrone soup. Guess what? I did it quite well. Heehee!
Here is my receipe:
Prepare:
1 carrot
3 potatoes
2 big tomatoes
A handful of greeny long beans
1 small can of mushroom
1 small cauliflower
1 big onion
5 garlic gloves
Macaroni (optional)
Flavoring:
Herb blend
Salt and Pepper
Chicken broth
2 tablespoons of oil

Dice all ingredients. Prepare chicken broth. Heat up a big pot and add oil. Throw in the onions and garlic cloves and stir fried for a while. Throw in all the ingredients and stir well with the onions and garlic. Then add in the chicken broth, herbs, some salt and pepper to flavor and boil for 20mins.

………… And TADAAA~ Here comes the tasty and healthy minestrone soup!

1 Aug – Full Solar Eclipse & Party at Clarke Quay
Yesterday, I witness the full solar eclipse live via webcast! It is awesome!!!! The wait till totality is very exciting and truly amazing! The next solar eclipse will be at 22 July 2009. If you want to watch the replay the eclipse process, visit http://www.exploratorium.edu/eclipse/2008/index.html

Late night, I went to meet up with Nikki, Viona and Joanna at Clarke Quay. I was lost, trying to find my way out from the NE line platform. Ha! And the next silly thing is that I also lost my way trying to look for Cafe Iguana! Then Nikki came to rescue me and finally met up with the girls. We had Margarita! I love it!!!!
We thought of going to Helipad at The Central but we couldn’t find a lift to go up there! Then we headed back to Clarke Quay and went to ChinaOne. They played good music there, great live band and many angmos (Haa!). We danced and took many funny photos. We even saw Jorgen, the Logistics Manager in our company! So coincidence!
It has been a fun and crazy night out with the girls. Ha! We left at about 3.30am. Then Baby came to fetch me home. So sweet of him!
With Viona and Joanna, toying with the display. Ops!

With Nikki at ChinaOne.
